By securing the column top & footing with wood bracing you avoid side shifting and lifting thus minimizing the bracing requirements. Our ECOFORM core is engineered to keep shape and withstand pressure during the pouring process! To expose the glossy surface, simply cut the outer wall with a power saw or linoleum knife. ECOFORM SUPER The tubes ECOFROM REGULAR are usable for up to 16' long. For forms more than 16' long, the name becomes ECOFORM SUPER, having thicker wall to with stand the highest static pressure.ECOFORM SEAMLESSABZAC CANADA has developed a tube for SEAMLESS concrete formwork with 3 goals;1- All cardboard components must come from 100% recycled fibres. 2- The final product must be 100% recyclable. 3- The tubes brought to market must offer the best price to quality ratio. The tubes ECOFORM SEAMLESS are the result of the following research. Dedicated to design architecturally, architects and engineers specify the ECOFORM SEAMLESS. From 12 "(305mm) to 22" (560mm) diameter inclusive, one vertical joint leaves an imprint. From 24" (610mm) to 36" (915mm) diameter, two vertical imprints are formed at the junction of plastic sheets. This grade is scheduled in production with a purchase order confirming many details. PROCEDURE OF ORDER 1- Send purchase order specifying the date or dates of delivery. 2- You must take care of the schedule of pouring concrete in the ECOFORM SEAMLESS. 3- If you have confirmed the delivery of some items, and that delivery is delayed , ABZAC CANADA INC is not responsible for any damage to the membrane after 30 calendar days, if SEAMLESS have not been used. The replacement cost of the membrane will be charged extra if necessary. DELIVERY The SEAMLESS are delivered according to the client's request either to the warehouse or construction site. They should be stored vertically in a place protected from weather. Any damage caused by wrong storage or a storage superior to 30 calendar days from the date of applying the inner membrane, void the manufacturer's warranty. PREPARATION  The ECOFORM SEAMLESS can be cut at construction site with a circular saw. After re-cutting, it is essential to apply on edges a "permanent adhesive" tape so that no concrete will insert between the plastic membrane and the fibre board tube.Both ends of the inner plastic membrane are taped for transportation, storage and handling purposes. It is recommended to cut the red tape at the base to release tensions that could have been created when proceeding to final installation. It is recommended to remove the formwork construction as soon as possible, usually 2 to 5 days after curing. After stripping, we can protect the column maintaining the two half tubes with a cord or wires. HOW TO USE - ECOFORM REGULAR-SUPER-SEAMLESS-POLYGONAL1. STORAGEThe ECOFORM are 100% plastic lined, including the gap of spiral space. Made of 100% recycled fibres, the exterior is covered with wax or a plastic membrane. We recommend to store them vertically in a place where it will be protected from weather conditions. If you store horizontally, it must be elevated at least 4" off the floor and it will have to be supported evenly. In case of rain, cover exposed parts with a waterproof tarp. 2. PLACING Maintain the base of formwork with wood frame, scaffolding tower, according to the rules of the art, preventing any lateral movement during the pouring of concrete. Hold the top of formwork firmly to avoid lifting when pouring the concrete. If the formwork is higher than 3.6 m (12'), ensure vertical alignment every 2.5 m (8') as per rules of the art. Attention: make sure to do not scratch the inner liner when sliding ECOFORM over reinforced bars or any structural devices. 3. POURING The concrete can be poured in one shot if the height of column does not exceed 4.5 m (14'). If the height does exceed 4.5 m (14'), it is recommended to reduce to 4m (13') per hour. When using vibrating needle, take care to do not insert needle between reinforcing bars and the form. Never vibrate the form itself. 4. STRIPPING Strip the form after setting of concrete between 2 to 10 days for best result to prevent sticking of inner surface to concrete. If you cut the form with a power saw take care to do not scratch the glossy finish of concrete with the blade. You can also use a utility knife to slit the paperboard and a shovel to pry off the form. After the form has been stripped off, you can re-use it to protect the column by securing it with wire or cord around the column. Once again ABZAC improve his quality...ABZAC has developed an easy and efficient way to reduce time dramatically to remove fibre forms after curing. Also, another very important advantage, this system prevents workers falls from scaffolds when workers had to saw cut fibre forms as the old way. A steel wire, with a minimum breaking strength of 560lbs is linked to a portable electric winch. The steel wire cut the wall thickness of tubes from bottom to top as seen on video. The workers have just then to pull out the two half moons of tubes. |
